DESIGN
This year, I tried to immerse myself in every section, challenging myself to tackle the one I was least comfortable with: design. With the past two issues, I forced myself to experiment with new programs and ideas to execute my own vision, and I can't wait to see them once printed!
MUSEum
After focusing on the photo aspect of MUSEum in the first two issues, I decided that, for the third issue, I wanted to attempt carrying the project all the way through, from curating the photos to designing the spreads, so I did just that. Since this was my first true design, I found myself needing lots of help and wanting to turn the project over to someone else multiple times, but after lots of late nights and revision, I couldn't be happier with the final product.
Muse in Review
Going into Issue 4, I had no intention of designing. When I learned, however, that no one was doing Muse in Review, I decided to tackle the project and try to put my own twist on it through screenshots of the covers rather than photos and reconfiguring the typical layout in what I find to be a more engaging and appealing format.
